Biography
Pouya Bakhtiari was killed during the November 2019 nationwide protests in Iran. He was shot in the head by security forces in Mehrshahr, Karaj, at the age of 27. His parents, Manouchehr Bakhtiari and Nahid Shirpisheh, have been repeatedly arrested and imprisoned for seeking justice for their son. Memorials are frequently held at his grave, including on his birthday, by family members and other protest victims' relatives.
پویا بختیاری در جریان اعتراضات سراسری آبان ۱۳۹۸ در ایران کشته شد. او در مهرشهر کرج و در سن ۲۷ سالگی، به ضرب گلوله نیروهای امنیتی از ناحیه سر مورد اصابت قرار گرفت. پدر و مادرش، منوچهر بختیاری و ناهید شیرپیشه، به دلیل دادخواهی فرزندشان بارها دستگیر و زندانی شدهاند. مراسم یادبود او به طور مکرر در مزارش، از جمله در سالروز تولدش، توسط اعضای خانواده و بستگان دیگر جانباختگان اعتراضات برگزار میشود.
